Twists and turns in the MLB baseball world

Not many people gave him a shot but it seems that Carl Pavano might yet surprise us all with a good showing on the CY Young Award for the current season. He has had a strong finish and I for one would love to see him prove the doubters wrong. He also might be looking at a great free agent season status in the following season. He is currently twelve to six and three point two six for the earned run average. Far too often we are quick to write off the players when they are in a spot of bother. It would be a great thing if they could prove all the doubters and make a strong finish. This would be a great story to celebrate for 2010. At the time when MLB baseball is trying to expand the fan base, it is also good that we are seen to support our young players or people that have faced a problem with their careers. The negativity just pulls them back.

And now for news of a possible return for Livan Hernandez as part of the Nationals. He will face some stiff competition in a rotation system where young pitchers are hungry for the opportunity to show what they can do. One wonders whether he regrets some of the decisions that he has made in the past. However we cannot underestimate the value that Livan Hernandez can bring to any major league tournament. He has been there and done that. It is therefore not outside the realms of reality that his return on this occasion will become quite triumphant. On the other hand there is a risk that he might not be at his best, thus leaving the fans with less than fond memories of what was. Some people are of the view that it is better to leave when you are at your best. Once you leave a project it might be a good idea not to return to it unless you know what you are doing in such a venture.
